Fundraising email authentication
· SHIPPED · integration · The Contentment Foundation
Authenticated a new fundraising sender domain without disturbing the email infrastructure already in production.
Problem
A fundraising platform needed its own authenticated sending domain. The organisation already had live DKIM on the root domain and mail flowing through several providers, so a careless DNS change would have silently started sending donor mail to spam.
Intervention
Designed and applied the DNS and authentication records on Vercel DNS, preserving the existing SendGrid root-domain DKIM and the surrounding Mailgun and Google Workspace configuration.
Result
- Keela and Raisely sending authenticated on their own domain
- Existing SendGrid root-domain DKIM left intact
- No production email outage during the change
