Coordinated recovery of five production systems after a billing failure, then wrote the RCA.
Problem
A GCP billing failure took down backend APIs, Hasura, the school platform, the IM dashboard, and the Families apps at the same time: a simultaneous multi-system production outage.
Intervention
Incident investigation, cross-team coordination, billing and infrastructure recovery, service verification, root-cause analysis, and preventive recommendations including budget triggers and alerting. Incident responder and report author, working while production was down.
Result
- Billing linkage and all affected production services restored
- Formal incident and root-cause report for the affected GCP project
- Prevention recommendations including GCP budget triggers and alerts
