Rebuilt contentment.org off Wix in about 20 days, then absorbed a 3x scope increase in the final hours without moving the launch. Phase 1 of two.
Problem
The public site lived on fragmented Wix assets, two of which I had built for them, in 2024 and again in 2025. Donation and newsletter paths were unclear, legacy URLs would break on the DNS move, policies were stale, and there was no production-grade observability. A small non-technical team had to be able to run whatever replaced it.
Intervention
Scoped at nine pages. Hours before cutover it emerged that eleven help pages still had to come across from the old Wix site, matched to the new theme, delivered in an hour. Nine organisational policy pages and two more followed the next day. All of it landed alongside the DNS cutover, redirects and legacy URL preservation, Keela donation automation, Flodesk subscription flows, the full analytics and error-tracking stack, consent management, and search submission across Google, Bing, Yandex and IndexNow.
Result
- Live since 18 Aug 2026, built in roughly 20 days
- Third site delivered for the same client: Wix in 2024, Wix in 2025, custom-coded in 2026
- Eleven help pages migrated from Wix in one hour, discovered hours before launch
- Nine policy pages plus two more shipped the following day
- Donations automated through Keela; subscriptions through Flodesk
- GA4, Google Tag, Microsoft Clarity, PostHog and Sentry live at launch, with Cookiebot consent
- Submitted to Google, Bing Webmaster, Yandex and IndexNow
- Launch date held despite the scope change
- This was Phase 1; Phase 2 is scheduled for later in 2026
